I have foodlust! It started out as wanderlust...a yearning to learn more about our food system with plans to travel the United Sates to find the answers to today's most perplexing agricultural concerns. But I soon realized what I really had was "foodlust!" I love to eat food but I love it more for what it provides my body, my community and my environment. If we all revered food in this way, everyone would have foodlust. We would want the best for it. The way we want the best for ourselves and our families. In doing so, we would treat the earth, the animals and our neighbors better. Food deserves our respect. It's pretty amazing stuff...we can take a seed, add sun, water and air and create something for us to eat. Follow me as I take this life-long journey sharing what I learn and sparking new ideas to develop a more sustainable food system. Get the latest updates from the field at The Food Chronicles.
The Food Chronicles is the unofficial blog of the Tahoe Food Hub. The Tahoe Food Hub was born from the lessons learned on the foodlust journey. And with the help of my fellow co-founder, Bill Kelly, and our dynamic board of directors, the Tahoe Food Hub will help build a sustainable food community in Lake Tahoe.
